

Theo Lenoir, 87, of Belk, passed away Saturday, April 1, 2017, at his home. Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 5th, at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Couch officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Tabor Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Mr. Lenoir, the son of Raymond & Lea Austin Lenoir, was born July 30, 1929, in Lamar County. He served in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict where he saw action on the front lines. During his service to our country he received the Korean Service Medal with 3 Bronze Stars, the Army Occupation Medal (Japan) and the UN Service Medal. Upon his return from the military he was a farmer before beginning work at B&W where his career spanned thirty-five years until his retirement. He enjoyed truck farming and was an avid hunter & fisherman. Theo was a member of Cross Branch Cowboy Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers; Otis, Clifton, Lewis and Raymond “Buddy”, Jr., and two sisters; Ozell and Mary Emma. Survivors include his wife, Virginia Moore Lenoir whom he married on Aug. 8, 1956, building sixty years of family and memories, two children, Donna Woodard & husband Andy of Belk and Mike Lenoir & wife Barbara of Hugo, OK, grandchildren; Angie Willis & husband Nolan of Reno, Hollie Yoho & husband Quentin of Yates Center, KS, Ashley Williams & husband Brandon of Roxton, Brandy Briscoe & husband Tyler of Valliant, OK, Tate Trapp of Ft. Towson, OK and Niki Wallace & husband Blake of Mesquite, great grandchildren; Delaney England, Aiden Yoho, Emery Yoho, Quinlyn Yoho, Hunter Day, Riley Williams, Brinley Williams, Morgan Briscoe, Maddie Briscoe, Brantlee Trapp, Payton Wallace & Camdon Wallace, a great great grandchild, Harlee Day, two sisters; Imogene Carroll of Denison and Cleo Heflin of Paris along with numerous nieces & nephews and a host of friends. Casket bearers will be: Jack Cook, Charlie Ausmus, Clyde Taylor, Mike Parsons, Chet Cook and James Humphreys. Honorary bearers will be: Pat Bassano, Ralph McFatridge, Nolan Willis & Neal Collard.
