George S Emde

George was born in Jackson Mississippi to Delmo and Mae Emde. His family moved to his Uncle's ranch in Fresno, California during his younger years. There he learned to ride horses and drive a tractor. He had many fond memories there before moving to the San Gabriel, California area. In junior high school George became very involved with sports which stuck with him throughout his life. He would play very sport he could and loved it. George played fast pitch softball into his his 50's.

George and Alvena met in 1982 and where married shortly after on April 2, 1983. They loved and enjoyed the last 40 years together.

George had worked for the Xerox company for 21 years and in 1994 George and Alvena moved to Parker, Arizona. He started working at the Bluewater Casino when they first opened and said it was the most fun job he had ever had.

George is survived by his wife Alvena Emde, daughter Laura and Julie Emde , son Gary and Debbie Shelby, three grandons, Rhett, Travis and Reice Shelby, sister Sue, brother in law Dallas Empey, brother Gene Emde, sister in law Irene Dannar and many nieces, nephews, cousins and loved ones.
