

He was born April 24, 1943 in Braxton County, WV, a son of the late Adrian Kendall and Neva Carter Kendall.
Arden proudly served in the United States Army during Vietnam era from 1963 to 1964. After his military service, he worked for Winans for several years doing custodial work for facilities including Dupont and iHeart Radio, among others. He was a dedicated and hardworking employee. A man of faith, he attended Belpre Church of Christ and lived his life with kindness and generosity. Known as a jack of all trades, he was always willing to lend a hand- never claiming to be an expert, but always eager to help. He made the best peanut butter fudge, his grandkids always looked forward to getting some at all the family get togethers. He found joy in simple things, especially spending time with family, which meant the world to him. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Those left behind to cherish his memory include his son, Edward (Stephanie) Kendall of Brattleboro, VT; daughters, Lynda Kendall of Vienna, WV, Leah (Aaron) Allen of Parkersburg, WV, Tina (Josh Rhodes) Kendall of Belpre. OH; brothers, Arlis Kendall, Delmas Kendall, Randall Kendall, Roger Kendall, Larry Kendall; sisters, Sherry Gross, Sandra Harris; grandchildren, Amy Leggett, Michael(Lakyn) Morris, Rachel(Carlos) Castillo, Wade Sullivan, Emma Sullivan, Cody Hickman, Adrianna Hickman, Kristopher Carroll, Alex Kendall, Kaili Allen; great-grandkids, Jerzee Morris, Cohen Morris, Lincoln Leggett, Eva Leggett, River Hickman,and great-grandbaby on the way, August Hickman, who he was eager to meet; bonus great- grandkids, Fae Conde, Christopher Parsons, and Brantlee Boso.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Kendall.
A graveside service will be held 1 P.M. May 21, 2025 at the family cemetery in Braxton County, 1215 Walnut Fork Road Rosedale, WV 26636.
There will be a public memorial service on May 25, 2025 at the Belpre Church of Christ at 2 PM.
The family would like to extend a huge thank you to the staff at the Willows Care Center. They took tremendous care of Arden. They truly did give him the most amazing care, especially Tara Biles- Barker, Beth Riel, and Kayla Burnem. These ladies went above and beyond with their care and love.
His granddaughter, Amy balanced the role of nurse and granddaughter so well during his last days.
