

He was born in Grafton, WV, the son of the late Orville J. and Beatrice Murphy Moore. He was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean War. He had worked for many years as an operating engineer for the International Union of Operating Engineers Local #132. He was also employed for many years at E. I. DuPont plant as a crane operator. He had many business ventures in his life time, his last being along with his son, Rob, building Moore’s Storage on Core Road. This was a family business involving his wife, Nancy and daughter-in-law, Gina. Unfortunately he sold it due to illness. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Nancy Ann Thorne Moore of Parkersburg, their son, Robert Thorne Moore and wife Gina Faye of Parkersburg. He is also survived by sons, Randy Moore (Donna), Bill Moore (Lisa), Steve Moore and Tina Byrd of Florida. He is also survived by his sister, Norma Wright of Belpre, Ohio, several grandchildren and great grandchildren and nieces and nephew. Also his loving companions, Coco and Joey. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his twin brothers, Burl J. and Bernard H. Moore. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with Pastor Carolyn Nettles officiating. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 Thursday at the funeral home. Interment at Sunset Memorial Gardens with full Military Rites.
