Carolyn E. Winans

Carolyn Elaine Winans, 78, of Bellville, WV went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, January 24, 2024. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Euguene Winans, Sr., and son, William Albert Winans. At the end of her life, she expressed contentment at seeing them once again.

Carolyn was an exceptional wife, mother, grandmother, and friend and will be deeply missed by all those who knew her. The beginning of her adult life was devoted to being a wife and mother. Later, she was employed by Wood County Schools as a cook, a true passion of hers, working herself up the ranks through hard work and dedication, going back to school for her associate degree at a later age. The birth of her grandchildren brought a new joy to her life. Although happy and content with the life she built, she was never afraid to speak her mind. Her laugh, words of wisdom, and sassiness will be missed by many of those who knew her best.

She leaves behind 3 sons, Ronald (Shawna), Robert, and Michael (Missy); 5 grandchildren, Carrie (Ben), Brittany (Andrew), Austin (Alexis), Mason, and Paige (Chris); and several great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday, January 29, 2023 at 1 pm. Friends and family will be received from 11am to 1pm on Monday, January 29, 2024, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens following the funeral.
