

He was born March 16, 1952 in Parkersburg, WV, a son of the late William Wilkinson and Cora Black.
Chandis retired from Ames Plant after many years of service. He was a member of the 14th Avenue Gospel Mission. He was an avid fisherman, he enjoyed fishing any time that he could. Anything Corvette and corvette related brought him joy. He loved antique cars, going to car shows, and bowling. Above all else, he loved spending time with his family. He will be forever missed by so many.
Those left behind to cherish his memory include his sons, Chandis Wilkinson, William Wilkinson; daughters, Melissa Middleton, Sandra (Doug) Hart; sisters, Becky Reynolds, Rhea Stephens; grandchildren, Julia, Alissa, Chandis III, Keely, Travis, MiKayla, Blair, Brittany; great-grandchildren, Ella Wilkinson, Everly Wilkinson, Aubrey Welch, Jeremiah Welch, Alexis Welch, Karlee Lilly, Bailey Lilly, and Wesley Lilly.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Crystal Wilkinson; sisters, Billie Griffin, Monetta Chaffin, Rowena Wilkinson, Regina Wilkinson; brother, Ronald Wilkinson, and great-granddaughter, Mackenzie Jones.
Funeral services will be 1 P.M. Wednesday January 15, 2025 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. at the funeral home.
