Charlene Romona Donahue

Charlene Romona Donahue, 90, of Parkersburg, WV passed on May 14, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was the daughter of the late Hubert and June Ballengee and the wife of the late Donald Ray Donahue.

Charlene loved to play the guitar and sing. She enjoyed taking care and spending time with her family. She especially liked to cook for them, never sending them away hungry. Charlene was an avid crossword puzzle worker, a beautiful seamstress and as the children say," Grandma, loved quilting.

She was a faithful member of the Camden Ave. Church of Christ and she loved making teddy bears for the church ministry.

Charlene was a wonderful mother and grandmother to all she loved. She was a true blessing to her family and the rock that brought the joy and loved. Charlene will be deeply missed by all who loved her.

Charlene leaves behind a loving family, who will miss her dearly. They will cherish her memory and keep her legacy alive. They are: daughters, Donna June Gilbert and Teresa Lurene Wolfe; brother, Edsel Ballengee: grandchildren, Suzan Edgell, Donald Stobaugh, Richard Ross, Misty Ewry, John Ross, Stephanie Gilbert, BJ Gilbert, Devon Wolfe; great grandchildren; Ashley Miracle, Aaron Edgell, Sean Stobaugh, Hailey Stobaugh, Austin Ross, Megan Ross, Ryan Ross, Benjamin Ewry, Brenton Ewry, Bronson Ewry, Aric Ross, Chance Ross, Harleigh Ross, Gavin Gilbert, Garrett Gilbert, Braxton Gilbert, Brantley Gilbert, Mason Gilbert, Maddox Gilbert; and great-great grandchildren; Lennon Ross and Cameron Ross.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughters; Deborah Hubbard, Doris Dion; brothers; Herm Ballengee, Oscar Ballengee,and sister Lottie Grass.

Per Charlene's wishes there will be no service at this time, burial will follow as the family makes the final arrangements.
