

Charles Leon Miracle, died on April 5, 2025 at WVU Camden Clark at 5:18 PM. He was born 29, October 1934, in Central Station, Doddridge Co., WV, the son of Charles E. and Alice V. (Cottrill) Miracle. He was united in Marriage on Oct. 24, 1954, to Dorothy D “Dottie” Blankenship, who departed this world in Jan. 2016 after 60 years together.
He is survived by his and Dottie’s four children, Teena Rolston (Dan), James Miracle (Mindy), Jody Miracle (Linda), Tammy Brock (Clarence). his Grandchildren Sham Rolston (Macheal) of Belleville, Ryan Rolston (Brandi Harris) of Elizabeth, Missy Tracewell of Parkersburg, Cody Miracle (Daisy Amos) of Montana , Erika Newberry (Thomas) of Tennessee, Matthieu Neal (Katie) of Parkersburg and 22 Great-Grandchildren, all whom Grandpa “Poppy” has watched over and encouraged. He also leaves his brother James E. and his wife Jean of Lake Norman, NC. Sister-in-law Nancy Davis of Florida
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Gary E. Miracle and a sister, Shirley M. Emrick
Charlie retired from Union Carbide/Eramet with over 40 years service making many friends along the way. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved spending time with his family. Taking walks with his many dogs over the years made him happy.
Over the years he hiked parts of the Appalachian Trail with his brother Gary, attended the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally with friends of his and also managed to have time for his children’s and grandchildren’s school activities or sporting events. Everything from a football game to a choir concert he made time for his kids.
The Family would like to thank the Staff of Housecalls Hospice and Rockland Ridge in Belpre for making him comfortable in his final days. At his request there will be no funeral, but we will have a Celebration of Life on Thursday, April 10, 2025 from 6 to 8 pm at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, 1934 Dupont Road, Parkersburg, WV. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of your choice
