He was born June 22, 1943 in Wood County, a son to the late Rawson and Bonita Miller Rhodes, and retired from CSX after over 35 years’ service .
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Jean Amick.
He is survived by his wife Cynthia Rhodes, children, Megan Rhodes, Charles F. Rhodes Jr., Beth Ann Lockhart, Linda Renee Lamm, Julie Kay Hewitt, and Pamela Lynn Rhodes, brother, William Rawson Rhodes Sr., sister, Charlotte June Potter, 12 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and a host of other extended family.
Service will be Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2012, 3:00 pm at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Parkersburg with Chad Emerick officiating. Burial will follow in the Sunset Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be Wednesday, two hours prior to the service from 1-3 pm at the funeral home.
