David O. Barr

David was born October 31, 1941 in Parkersburg, WV to Dewey and Gladys {Casto} Barr. He married Wanda Daugherty on January 10, 1964.

David was a member of New England Baptist Church. He retired from DuPont in 2000 after 33 years of service. He loved fishing, Cincinnati Reds, Camping, WVU sports and especially being with friends and family. David was loved by all and would do anything to help anyone.

David will be deeply missed by his wife, Wanda of 53 years; son Terry (Amy) Barr of Jackson, OH and Daughter Tina (Adam Stephens) Little of Petroleum, WV; grandchildren Reba (David) Parsons, Samantha Little (Joe Malone) and Noah Barr; great-grandchildren Keegan Little, Maddisyn Parsons and Kassidy Malone; sister Kathryn (Emil) Brown of Rockport, WV; best friends Bob and Connie Cline and Don and Susan McCauley and Bob and Edith Wickiser; and all his camping friends.

David was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Dwight Barr, Charles Barr, Dewey (June) Jr Barr and Robert Barr

Visitation will be Monday, January 30, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Parkersburg. Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at 11 am at the funeral home with Pastor Roger Johnson officiating. Interment will be at Sunset Memory Gardens.
