David C. Fletcher, 73, of Parkersburg, WV, passed away suddenly at his home on September 25, 2019. He was born May 8, 1946 in Frankford, WV then graduated from Glenville State and West Virginia University. He was an educator and coach for over 35 years before retiring from Parkersburg High School. He enjoyed gardening, golfing, hunting and his relationships with his church and family. He is survived by his children, Stacey Bryant (Tony) of Rural Hall, NC; Jon Fletcher (Staci) of Pickerington, OH; son-in-law Ryan Cochran (Jessica) of Lubeck, WV and his grandchildren, Madison, Cole, Morgan, Allison, Tyler, Drew and Brody. He is also survived by his siblings, James Fletcher and Elizabeth Banton. He is preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Connie Fletcher, their daughter, Kelli Cochran, and his parents, Charles and Nellie Fletcher.
A celebration of his life will be held, 1:00 p.m., Sunday, September 29, 2019 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Parkersburg, WV with Pastor Adam Paff officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation with family and friends will be from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Saturday, September 28, 2019 at the funeral home.
