

Delbert (Bud) Leroy Leadmon, 70, of Walker, WV, passed away unexpectedly at his home Jan. 4, 2016. He was born in Parkersburg, WV on April 9, 1945 and was the son of the late Delbert and Martha (Wilson) Leadmon. He retired as a heavy equipment mechanic from Rish Equipment and State Equipment. He served in the Army from 1965 to 1967. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved the outdoors and riding his four wheeler. He belonged to the Blennerhassett Bassmasters Club and Brushy Fork Hunt Club for several years. Surviving is his life partner Jane Snyder, one daughter; Tina Leadmon of Elizabeth, two grandchildren; Katie and Matthew of Elizabeth, one sister; Joyce McCune (Carl) of Parkersburg, brother-in-law; William Shepherd of Waverly, nephews; James McGee, Jason Leadmon, William, Robert, and Curtis Shepherd and nieces; Pamela Newberry, CoRena McGee, and Sara Shepherd. He also recognized Jane’s children, Angela (Mark) Black of Parkersburg, David Knotts of Parkersburg and grandchildren; Rikki Knotts, Alyssa, Courtney, Christopher, and Makayla Roush of Parkersburg as part of the family. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Janet Shepherd. Visitation will be Thursday, January 7, 2016 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Parkersburg. Funeral services will be Friday, January 8, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at Sunset Memory Gardens. Online tributes may be made at www.sunsetparkersburg.com.
