She was born December 1, 1926 in Parkersburg, WV, a daughter to the late Paul Stephens and Hazel Yoho Stephens.
Aileen worked in the business office at C & P Telephone, where she was known for her dedication and warm spirit. She was a faithful member of Trinity Church. She took great pride in helping her family start the Ault Swimming Pool business. She was also an active member of the Pioneers Club. Aileen found joy in life’s simple pleasures -traveling to new places, relaxing with a good crossword puzzle, and creating lasting memories with those she loved. She also deeply loved her faithful companion, Lady Ann, whom she affectionately referred to as her “only daughter,” a special bond that brought her endless comfort, joy, and companionship. Above all, she cherished the time she spent with her family, who were the center of her world and the greatest source of her happiness.
Those left behind to cherish her memory include her sons, Jim (JoAnn) Ault, Gerald Ault; brother, Gary (Kay) Stephens; granddaughter, Julie (Chad Oliver) Ault; great-grandchildren, Gage (Maddie Stephens) Brown; several nieces, nephews, and great nieces.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Elbert Ault; second husband, Carl Jarzynski; grandson, Jimmy Ault; brothers, Sam (Barbara), Pete (Mary), Dave(Nancy), and Darrell (EmmaLou).
Funeral services will be 1 PM Saturday February 28, 2026 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with Michael Kidd officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 12 PM to 1 PM at the funeral home.
The family would like to give a special “thank you” to Amedisys Hospice for their care and compassion during Aileen’s final days.
