
He was born September 10, 1933, in Parkersburg a son to the late William H. and Anna C. Eddy. Over the years Jerry owned and operated many businesses, was a licensed Journeyman and he attended The Independent Baptist Church in Vienna. He was a very talented artist and visionary, and he was very proud of his Indian heritage.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Ruth E. Eddy, five brothers, Ronald, Marion, Lindsey, Mirel, and Gary, six sisters, Opal, Vivian, Pat, Toni, Iris, and Joan.
He is survived by his daughter, Debbie Goodwin (Jim) of Parkersburg, brothers, Leon Eddy of Charleston, Nile Eddy (Mary), and Mark Eddy both of Parkersburg, grandson, D. Eric DeBarr (Bonnie) of Denver, CO, great grandchild, Devin DeBarr of Denver along with the “other daughter” Sally Blake, and many nieces, nephews and extended family, and special friend, Billy Dennis.
A memorial service is schedule for 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 14th at The Independent Baptist Church, Vienna, with Pastor Michael Elder officiating.
The family would like to extend to a special thanks to all of the family and friends for their prayers, cards, help and support. We would also like to thank Dr. Abhyankar and staff, Amedisys Hospice, and Parkersburg Care and Rehab for the care they provided our father.
