

He was born February 7, 1957 in Parkersburg, WV a son to Mary Imogen Weaver and the late Ford “Bill” Weaver.
He was a 1977 graduate of Parkersburg South High School. He dedicated 43 years of service as a custodian at Dupont, a role he carried out with pride and commitment. He was a man of faith who attended Hopewell Church of Christ and Marrtown Church of Christ. Johnny found joy in goofy golf, fishing, running his remote-control cars, and cherished playing dominoes with his mom. He collected and enjoyed trains. He was happiest doing simple things and having a “great” day. He loved Mountain Dew, which his Dupont family lovingly called “Johnny’s Go Go Juice” He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Those left behind to cherish his memory include his beloved dog, Lexy, his loyal companion, who brought him much joy and love.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Ashley Elizabeth Weaver; and his devoted wife, Debbie Jean Cooper “Hon”
Funeral services will be 12 PM. Friday December 19, 2025 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be 5PM to 8PM Thursday December 18, 2025 at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service from 11 AM to 12 PM. Cremation to follow.
