He was preceded in death by his father, Bert Ferrell; his mother, Betty Ferrell Whitley; and brother, Tom Ferrell.
He was a Sargent in the United States Marines and a Freemason. He worked as an electrician for many years. He was a hunter and an avid outdoorsman, belonging to Mountain State Sportsmen’s Association, where he shot rim fire rifles.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Sharon Ferrell; niece, Shannon Ferrell Reeder of Costa Rica; and many cousins, great nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at 2:00pm. Friends may visit with the family from 12-2:00 pm.
Due to COVID 19 the family requests only immediate friends and family to attend the services.
