He was born September 26, 1923 in Ellenboro, WV a son to the late Asa and Nancy Pritchard Nichols. He was a retired Union Carpenter, a veteran of the US Marine Corp, and a member of American Legion Post 15.
He is survived by his children, Angie Thompson (Joel) of Parkersburg, Gary Nichols (Amy) of Parkersburg, Kenneth Nichols Jr. (Brooke) of Parkersburg, Kenda Weaver of Vienna, and Judy Mosser (Howard) of Dundee, OH, 11 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and a great-great grandchild.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by four brothers, and three sisters.
Service will Friday, April 20, 2012, 11 am at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Parkersburg. Burial will follow in the Sunset Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be Thursday, April 19, 2012, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
