

He was born Aug. 31, 1952, in Parkersburg, a son of the late Lloyd C. Mace and Opal McClung Mace.
He was a sheet metal worker by trade, belonging to Local number 33 Sheet Metal Union. A veteran of the U.S. Navy, Lloyd served in the Sea and Air rescue during Vietnam. Lloyd was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved arrowhead hunting and metal detecting. He loved to spend time with his family and enjoyed playing the guitar.
He is survived by his wife, Vicky L. Mac; one son, Shad M. Mace; two daughters, Kerra M. Ball of Belpre, Ohio, and Mary E. Taylor of Washington, W.Va.; two brothers, Mike Mace of Elizabeth, and Donnie Mace of Parkersburg; four sisters, Niki Fleming of New England, W.Va., Joyce Somerville of Elizabeth, W.Va., Becky Goudy of Davisville, W.Va., and Lorane Fought of Elizabeth, W.Va.; five grandchildren, Shad M. Mace II, Ryleigh E. Moore, Kaden A. Benasutti, Reagan V. Moore, and Elliot M. Taylor.
Services will be held 2 p.m., Friday, Sept. 12, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with interment in Sunset Memory Gardens. Pastor Daniel Morikone will be officiating over the service. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 11, at the funeral home. Military Rights will be conducted by the American Legion Post 15.
