Madalyn Lou Burrows, 80, of Parkersburg, passed away Apr. 25, 2011 at Camden-Clark Medical Center-Memorial Campus.
She was born Nov. 21, 1930 in Ravenswood, WV a daughter of the late Robert E. and Bessie Baker Coen. Madalyn graduated from Parkersburg High School in 1948, retired from Corning Glass after 33 years of dedicated service, was a life member of the DAV, American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post 15, participated in several bowling leagues, and was a member of the Wayside United Methodist Church.
She is survived by one son, Harold (Pamela) Burrows of Parkersburg; one daughter, Susie Stump of Coolville, OH; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Beryl Bledsoe and Billie Jo Atkinson, both of Lexington, SC.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William G. Burrows in 1991; one son, Russell Burrows; two daughters, Thelma Jean Burrows and Leilani Kittle; two brothers, Robert E. Coen, Jr. and Marion Coen; and one sister, Judith “Butchie” Coen.
Services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Parkersburg with Pastor Guy Lowther officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
