Mary Louise Cogar

She was born March 30, 1941 in Gandeeville, WV a daughter to the late Hoyt and Gatha Snyder. She was a graduate of Walton High School, a homemaker, and a member of Landmark Baptist Church. She was previously a volunteer at Camden Clark Medical Center, enjoyed painting, word search puzzles, and doing crafts.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Rodney Russel l Cogar, 3 brothers, William Snyder, Earnest Snyder and Earl Snyder, and 1 sister, Cora Snyder.

She is survived by four sisters, Freda Hunt (Russ) of Parkersburg, Janet Holden (Mike) of Marietta, Gladys Walker of Burg Hill, OH, and Dorothy Davis of St. Albans, one brother, Harry Snyder (Joann) of Washington along with several nieces and nephews, She left behind her children who were raised apart from her in foster care, Katrina Godbey (Dana) of Clay Co., Sherry Cavender (Larry) of Poca, Betty Strickland (Don) of Kenna, Mark Ray (Rhonda) of Walton, Charles Ray (Missy) of Roane Co., Ella Reed (Mike) of Harrisville, 12 grandchildren, and several great grandchildren.

Service will be Tuesday, July 30, 2013, 10 am, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Sunset Memory Gardens.

Visitation will be Monday, July 29, 2013, from 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
