Mary Jo Fowler, 85, of Washington, WV passed away May 3, 2016 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Mary Jo was born May 22, 1930 in Harrisville, WV to Herbert Marion and Thelma Opal {Cox} Hardbarger.
Mary Jo was employed at Sears & Roebuck for 26 years. She attended Washington United Methodist Church, enjoyed sewing and was an avid camper. She absolutely loved taking care of her family.
Mary Jo will be deeply missed by her daughters, Sharon D. Fowler of Washington, WV and Twila B. (Stephen M.) Richards of Sugar Hill, GA, grandchildren, Stephanie M. (Jamie) Ayers of Springfield, GA, great grandchildren, Emma Grace and Lily Clare Ayers, brothers, Dwayne (Betty) Hardbarger, Tom (Shirley) Hardbarger, sister, Loretta (Richard) Dennis, cousins, Hilda and Mark Wass and several nieces and nephews..
Mary Jo was preceded in death by Howard her husband of 52 years, her parents and grandson Ryan Richards.
Visitation will be Friday, May 6, 2016 from 11 to 1 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Parkersburg. Funeral services will be Friday at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Tom McDowell officiating. Entombment will be at Sunset Memory Gardens.
