Pauline was born October 6, 1938 in Belleville, WV to the late Richard David Rawson and Emma Louise Moore Rawson. In addition to her parents, Pauline was preceded in death by her brothers, Wayne and Glenn Rawson, and a great-granddaughter.
Pauline retired from the Bureau of Public Debt where she had worked 38 years. She attended Lubeck Church of Christ, Lubeck, WV. Pauline’s hobbies included bowling, which she had several trophies, crocheting, walking, traveling, crafts, and spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 61 years, Lewis Sims at home; children, Brenda Adams (Melvin) of Marietta, and Brian Sims (Opal) of Mineral Wells; grandchildren, Jill Jackson (DJ), Eric Adams, Eden Pennington (Josh), Raevin Sims, Anthony Ramsey, and Tara Hanson (Zach); 10 great-grandchildren; and sister, Imogene Whipkey of Belleville, WV.
A celebration of Life Service will be at 11:00am Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, 1834 Dupont Road, Parkersburg, WV with Pastors Steve Fouch, David Newberry, and Melvin Adams officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens, Parkersburg.
A gathering of family and friends will be 5-8pm Monday, August 3, 2020 at the funeral home.
