

He was born on May 2nd, 1931, in Akron, OH. Roger was employed by Acme Fishing Tool Co. in Parkersburg, WV for 35 years and retired in 1989. Roger was instrumental in the founding of Goff Brothers Machine and Fab, Inc. in 1984. Upon retirement from Acme, he worked at Goff Brothers from 1989 through 2024.
Roger was an Army veteran, serving in the Korean War, with the 1092nd National Guard.
Roger was a Baptist, by faith. He is survived by his loving wife of 72 years, Dorothy Lillian Maxson-Goff. He is also survived by 3 sons, Randy Goff (Donna) of Washington, WV, Kenneth Goff (Cathy) of Middleburg, FL and Terry Goff of Washington,WV. To continue his legacy, he also leaves behind 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Stoka and Rowena Goff, one brother, Weldon Goff and one sister, Delores Battin, his grandson, Terry Lynn Goff, Jr. and daughter-in-law, Tammie Goff.
Roger and Dorothy had spent the last 30 winters in Florida, dividing their time between Middleburg, FL and St. Petersburg, FL. Roger's time in Florida consisted of visiting and going fishing out on the boat. His summers in West Virginia were spent taking care of his yard, gardening, and taking his faithful companion, Jasper, for rides in his golf cart.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m on Tuesday, April 29,2025 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with Daniel Ahart officiation. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be 4 P.M. to 7P.M. Monday, April 28, 2025 at the funeral home.
