

Ron was born on April 1, 1929, one of seven children from the late Dock A. Nohe and Ora Sheppard Nohe.
Ron grew up with his siblings, Margie (Lloyd) Rawson, Emerson “Joe” (Martha) Nohe, Paul “Pete” (Delores) Nohe, Lena (Walter) Pifer, Jack A. (Helen) Nohe and Ovie “Ed” Nohe all farming the Nohe family farm as well as helping other area farmers on their farms like Wilbur “Buzz” Kiefer, Wilbur “Boob” Kiefer and Marion Rawson.
Ron at the age of 17 joined and served in the U.S. Army in the 101st Airborne Division for 3 years being stationed in Japan and upon completing his service to his country proudly; he began his career of being a merchant marine traveling the world for 37 years retiring as a chief engineer for the Sealand and Maresk companies.
Having traveled the world by ship, Ron resided while stateside in Florda until retiring at which time he returned to Belleville where he was born and raised. Ron then fulfilled his dream by purchasing the Nohe family farm with his sisters and brothers consent to maintain and keep the property in the Nohe name. Ron, not only being a true patriot to and serving his country he was also that committed to making sure that the Nohe family property would remain in the Nohe name, from Adam A. Nohe in the 1800’s to Clinton Adams Nohe in the 1900’s and beyond.
For those that knew him, Ron was a honest, hardworking, straight forward true to his word man with that unique laugh and lived his life his way. That life came full circle when he re-united with his childhood sweetheart, Wilma Jean Pickering and her immediate Family, Cathy, Vanessa, Alex and Pete. Together Wilma Jean and Ron shared great times and memories until 2007, when Wilma Jean was called to join the Lord.
Ron, per his request, there will be no funeral service and upon cremation his ashes will be re-united with Wilma Jeans at a time in the future that can be celebrated then with his family and friends that wish to attend.
In Lieu of flowers, Ron requested any donations in his honor be contributions to cures for cancer and Alzheimer’s diseases.
Finally in Ron’s words “Thanks Jeff” and “Thanks” all his friends at the “Water Hole” with of course “Daisy” and “Jayboy”.
