Shirley A. Russell

Shirley Almeda Russell went to be with the Lord September 29, 2016 surrounded by her loving family in Myrtle Beach, SC. She is formally of Parkersburg, WV. Shirley was born in Spencer, WV, April 4, 1938. She was married to Paul B. Russell who preceded her in death in 2002, after 46 years of marriage. Shirley is survived by five children Stephen (Peggy) Russell of Merritt Island FL, Susanna (Gregory) Hartness of Myrtle Beach, SC, David (Pamela) Russell Cutler, OH, Joseph (Pamela) Russell of Parkersburg and Carolyn Paugh of Parkersburg, siblings David C. (Karen) Mcfee of Vienna WV and Linda (Robert) Shock of Parkersburg, eleven grandchildren Jodie Russell, Angela (John) Milliman, Shirley Hartness, Aaron Russell, Adam (Sean) Russell, Abby Russell, Stacy Russell, Paul (Linsday) Russell, Megan (Jordan) Gorrell, Ashley (Ben) Ross and Ryan (Ashley) Paugh. Shirley is also survived by fifteen great-grandchildren.

She enjoyed traveling, working in her flower gardens and raising exotic birds. She especially loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Visitation will be Tuesday, October 4, 2016 from 5 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday, October 5, 2016 from 10-11 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Parkersburg. Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at 11 am at the funeral home with Pastor Erik Nelson officiating. Entombment will be at Sunset Memory Gardens.
