Vickie Lea Simmons, 58, of Parkersburg, passed away Aug. 30, 2011 at the Willows Center.
She was born Jan. 16, 1953 in Parkersburg, a daughter of Charles E. and Aggie L. Boso O’Dell. She was a graduate of PSHS Class of 1970, a longtime employee of Nashua Photo, and a Christian by faith. She loved fishing, writing poetry, and enjoyed having fun with her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Darrell Simmons; one son, Chad (Michelle) Simmons of Parkersburg; three grandsons, Matthew, Austin, and Dante Simmons; one granddaughter, Hunter Simmons; one sister, Sandra K. Scott of Parkersburg; and a large loving extended family.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Dreama N. Simmons.
Services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with Pastor David Stilgenbauer officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
