Vivian I Smith

Vivian was born January 21, 1942 in Parkersburg, WV to Howard Herbert and Glenna Elizabeth (Fetty) Myers.

Vivian was employed at the Bureau of Public Debt from October 1959 until her retirement on February 1, 1997. She was also employed by Riccobene Maintenance from December 2001 to May 2015.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Howard Myers Jr. and Harold Denver Myers, sisters, Ines Marie Boggess, Garnet Louise Petty, Ruby Lucille Fuller, and Gladys Alberta Lowery and her longtime companion, Lloyd D. Nelson.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her 3 children, Andrea Janene Irwin, Russell Andrew (Audrey) Smith of Parkersburg, WV and Melinda Jo Estep of Satsuma, FL, 8 grandchildren, one brother, Carl Richard (Donna) Myers of Cape Coral, FL, one sister Delores Jean Myers Freeland of Parkersburg, WV, two longtime friends Sharon Williamson and Wilma Elder both of Parkersburg, two special nephews, Brian Keith (Pebble) Freeland of Mineral Wells, WV and Roger Lee Freeland II of Celina, OH and one special great nephew, Brant Keith (Shelby) Freeland of Mineral Wells, WV. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm and one hour prior to services on Thursday, November 16, 2023. Service will be at 1pm on Thursday. Interment will be in the Garden of Ascension at Sunset Memory Gardens. An online guestbook for condolences is available at www.sunsetparkersburg.com
