My husband Eric and I were shocked and saddened to hear that Marilyn had passed away...Our thoughts and prayers are with all her family and close friends at this sad and difficult time...she will be sorely missed I am sure...she was a wonderful person. Before returning to Ontario in 2004 we were close friends golfing, partying and curling (I didn't curl) Eric did. We shall cherish all the beautiful memories...Much Love to you all, Jan and Eric Ratcliffe

We moved to Campbell River from Ontario in 1997.  I had meet Marilyn & Doug maybe twice before as a child but they had never met my husband or daughter.  Doug (my mother's first cousin) & Marilyn basically "adopted" us.  They were both very special people.  We shared many good meals and laughs with them.  Our thoughts are with you.

Thanks Teresa!  You and Greg were very special to mom and dad. They always looked so forward to your visits, and talked about you to us often.  It was such a treat for them to have you living on the Island for the period that you did, as family was very important to them.  Love and blessings to you three.

Auntie Marilyn,
It is so sad that you have died.  At this moment I am remembering, as a kid, the big Christmas dinners at Grandpa and Grandma's house.  I am also thinking about you standing in the kitchen of your Calgary house, and that silly board on the wall that said "Slater family dog house".  (I always wondered if someone would be in the dog house, and you would always giggle about that).   I am thankful you hosted the family reunions in Qualicum Beach, twice.   And, I remember well the last time we were together.  Diane was entertaining us with a very funny story, and we were all having a good hearty laugh.  I will miss you, but I will remember you with great fondness and a smile.  Love Debbie

It is with a heavy heart that I send this condolence to your family.  I am not able to attend your service but will be thinking about everyone on your special day.
We had our sisters reunion every year and had a lot of wonderful times together. Mel and I visited you and Doug on the island everytime we came out and enjoyed our stays together.  I know you are not in pain anymore and you will rest in peace.
