Merv was born in McLennan, Alberta. He was raised in Falher, Alberta and later in Barrhead, Alberta. He began his working career as a Chef, having attended the Culinary Arts Program at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology. He went on to work for Shaw Cable and eventually became an Electrician, working in the Alberta Oilfield Industry.
Merv loved music and he was a very talented drummer; he played in a rock band called The Public Paystation, along with his high school friends for many years. His sweet personality and wonderful smile was endearing to all that had the privilege to know him.
Merv also had a deep passion for the game of Golf and perhaps in another life he would have become a Golf Pro, which was his dream!
He will be sadly missed by his parents Roy and Krishnie Naidu; his sister Linda Calwill (Chris-husband); his brother Colin Naidu (Brandy-wife) his nephew River Naidu and his niece Raine Naidu.
