

Born in Tawatinaw, Alberta. Predeceased by sons, Fred and David, Great Granddaughter, Mady, and sister Judy.
Survived by his wife, Louise of 57 years. Children - Sharon (Ross), Nicky (Stako), Alan (Darlene), Heather (Rick). He also leaves his brother, Stan, and sisters, Lois and Sandi.
Dave was a dad, papa, great grandpa, and great great grandpa. His grandchildren called him Grumpy Grandpa, but knew he was a big Teddy Bear.
Dave left Alberta at an early age to join the Navy and spent the rest of his life in B.C. He served on the Grilse and the Rainbow submarines for 13 years an an electrician for a total of 21 years, and 101 days in the Navy. Completing that career he was an electrician for the B.C. rail in Squamish for 20 years, and 99 days. He was very precise.
Dave gave his life to the Lord in 1984 and served as an elder in the Squamish MB Church. During his lifetime his love of sports included, baseball, boxing, hockey and golf which he played and coached. He belonged to the drama club where he did lighting, acting, and directing. He was also a fantastic dancer.
On retiring to Parksville, he joined the Baptist Church and spent 15 years as a basket maker at Bethlehem walk. He was also an usher and taped Sunday sermons and led a man's bible study for 16 years.
His life was fulfilled when he had his family around him.
Dave had a bet with his pal Art on who would meet Jesus first.
