Pamela ASPINALL

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our Mother, Pamela Aspinall on the morning of June 24th 2014.

Pam was born in Gillingham Kent England on July 5th 1930 to the late Herbert and Rebecca Ruffe. She met and married Norm  March 22nd 1950. They lived in Gillingham Kent until they emigrated to Canada in June 1967.

Pre Deceased by Husband Norman Aspinall, Daughter Kay Aspinall, Brothers Bob, Sid and Bert, Sisters Eileen and Peggy, she is survived by her Son Peter Aspinall (Cathy), and Daughter Diana Poirier (Garry), Grandchildren Trina Aspinall (Zoltan), Sean Poirier (Courtney), Sarah Howard (Chris), Rylan Poirier (Amanda), Jaime Aspinall (Ashley), Kim Osborne (Andrew), Step Grandchildren Tyler Ruks (Bebhinn), Alison Ruks (Tom). She has five great grandchildren and two more on the way also many nephews and nieces in England and abroad.

Pam loved horseback riding and musical theater. She was a founding member of the Portal Players and entertaining people was her passion in life. She spent hundreds of hours sewing costumes for the many productions that she was involved in. She travelled extensively with Norm visiting England, Hawaii, Egypt and California. They also enjoyed several cruises. They loved their family time and took the entire family to Disneyland on several occasions.

A celebration of life will be held at the Yates Funeral Home hall at 4470 Gertrude St in Port Alberni at 2pm on Saturday July 5th 2014.

The family would like to thank the staff at Fir Park Village and Heritage Place for the excellent care that Mom received during the time she lived there.
