Sarah will be remembered for her kind and gentle ways, endearing her to everyone she met. She was predeceased by her parents Lise (Lil) and George Munson Sr., brother Curtis and sister Linda. Sarah leaves to mourn her passing: daughter Kerry Anne of Parksville, son Christopher of Vancouver and her siblings: brother George (Gail), sister Shirley and Theresa, all of Terrace, sister Carol of Nanoose and sister Patricia of Victoria.
Born in Terrace BC, she was the seventh born of eight children. Her father followed work in the logging industry in a number of small communities in Northern BC, including Burns Lake, Decker Lake and Houston, always taking the family with him. Eventually they settled in Terrace when she was in high school. During those young years, she participated eagerly in the local theatre group and had a keen interest in fine arts and decor. During her mid-years, she travelled in Europe, Asia and the Western United States.
Over the years, Sarah held various administrative positions. The highlight of those years was her venture with her Sister Linda when they purchased Borrocco Art Gallery in North Vancouver. In her mid-forties, she finally found her niche working with handicapped adults, finding new homes for them in the community, as manager of a Central Island agency.
Sarah has left a legacy of a kind and compassionate human being, giving her best to everything she did. She was respected by family and friends alike, a noble human being, always putting others first.
A Celebration of Sarah’s life will be held in the condo clubhouse at:
