It is with much sadness that we announce that Diane passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 17th in the Palliative Care Unit in the Nanaimo Hospital, after a lengthy battle with lung cancer and COPD.
Survived by her loving husband, Del Johnston; daughters, Tanya, and Delane Johnston; grandchildren, Chelsea, Jake, and Ivy; brother, Bill Henstock; sisters, Dawn Yerex, and Sheila Heibert; mother in law,Ada Johnston; and many nieces and nephews.
Diane was born in Victoria, BC on November 16th 1944. She was predeceased by her father and mother. Diane lived most of her life in the Oceanside area. She had many friends and acquaintances though her passion for the game of golf.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Diane’s honour from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at the Eaglecrest Club House on October 4, 2015. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a charity of your choice in Diane’s name.
