He was the firstborn child and son of Rosendo & Stephanie Richarte. Born in Houston, the family moved around often when he was younger but ultimately was raised and lived in the Houston area for the majority of his life. He graduated from Houston Learning Academy (HLA), class of 1992, and obtained his certification as a medical office and billing specialist in 2015. Alex wore many hats during his life. He loved to help when and where he could because Alex was a generous man.
Alex was a sociable person and enjoyed getting dressed up to look nice in and for any situation. Never one to shy away, he never met a stranger and became fast friends with most people he ran across. He loved to chat about his interests in collecting comics, his love of sports (including baseball, basketball, and especially wrestling), fishing, reading, music, and movies. He knew lots of facts about his interests and would share them enthusiastically with whomever's company he was in because Alex was an interesting man.
He will be deeply missed by anyone who ever had the privilege of meeting him. He will be missed the most by his family, Rosendo & Stephanie, along with his sister Sarah, his brother Henry, as well as by his nieces Lucinda (Luci), Saliah, and his nephew Linus. He was loved by all his extended family including aunts Dolores, Rachel, Marlene, Maria, Mary Jane, Elizabeth, Regina, and uncles Vincente Jr, Sotero (Rocky), and Mario. He was also loved by his many cousins and all the lifelong family friends who watched him grow from a tiny child into the adult he became. Because of all of the love he received in his life, Alex was a kind-hearted man.
Alex is preceded in death by his grandparents, Vincent & Felicitas Richarte, Sotero & Francis Gonzales, and his uncle Donald Leo.
He was and will always be looking out for us, trying to help in whatever way he can. We know he is still surrounded with love, even in death, because, ultimately, Alex was a great man. He will be missed but will never be forgotten.
A Celebration of Alex's life will be held Friday, May 17, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Pasadena Funeral Chapel, 2203 Pasadena Boulevard, Pasadena, Texas 77502.
