Brenda Joyce Pettersen

On Friday, July 14, 2023, Brenda Joyce Pettersen, age 77, of Deer Park, Texas passed away peacefully. Brenda was born on September 25, 1945, in Camp Swift, Texas to William Arthur and Doris Lee Geisenberg.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Richard “Pete” Pettersen, her two sisters, Loretta Davis and Judy Mason. Brenda is survived by her children, Natasha Wyatt and husband Shannon, Darrell Henry and wife Kim, Nikole Lowry and husband Doug, Lisa Barfield and husband Jack, Renee Pettersen and Craig Pettersen. She also had several grandchildren and many great grandchildren, as well as many other family members and close friends that will miss her dearly.

Brenda was well known in the Pasadena community, a long-time member of the American Legion where she met her lifelong partner and husband, Pete. They were good friends before they married on July 30, 1992, and from that moment forward they were inseparable.

She was a loving housewife and enjoyed spending time with friends and family on special occasions. She loved to cook and bake for the people in her life and delivered food to all the neighbors and friends on a regular basis.

Brenda traveled with her husband “Pete” wherever the open road led. They visited the Pettersen family annually in Montana and she enjoyed the yearly adventure of the trip with her husband and chihuahua, Precious.

While she will be missed by so many in her life, Brenda is now sitting peacefully next to her husband in the light of the Lord.
