Carlos was born in Pasadena TX, on November 4th, 1934, to Adolfo Herrera and Santos Rocha. Attended Jackson Junior High School, worked at Brown and Root as a painter foreman for 40 years. On June 11th, 1961, he married Rosa a florist designer. In June 1964 he welcomed his first son Gilbert followed by Carlos Jr., and John Wayne who were the most important in his life.
Carlos was a devoted father, an avid Texans, and Astros fan. He enjoyed swimming, dancing, going on cruises, and watching old western shows. He was a spiritual man who will be missed deeply by his friends, family and all that knew him.
He is survived by; wife Rosa M. Herrera; children Gilbert and spouse Laura, Carlos Jr. and spouse Cindy, and John Wayne and spouse Michele. Seven grandkids; Denzil Walters Jr. and spouse Kelsey, Krystal Hicks and spouse Justin, Nicole Ferris and spouse Ben, Carlos R. Herrera III and spouse Maggie, Joshua Langley and spouse Adrienne, Carolyn Herrera, and Cyleigh Herrera. Eleven great grandkids; Tiah Ferris, Garrett Hicks, Aiden Hicks, Michaelis Ferris, Logan Langley, Maddison Langley, Bella Ferris, Piper Walters, Pierce Walters, Millie Langley, and Linkin Langley.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Adolfo Herrera, and Santos Rocha. Two brothers; Conrad Herrera, and Paul Herrera. Four sisters; Julia Rivera, Thomasa Herrera, Minnie Gutierrez, and Fela Gutierrez.
