

Mr. Reyna was born March 12th, 1939 in Runge, TX to parents Alberto and Juanita Reyna.
In 1962, at the age of 23, Mr. Reyna met his future wife, Domitila Meraz, at a Dairy Queen in Lorraine, TX. They lived in Colorado City, TX where Cruz worked as a farming truck driver for his parents. Oldest son Lewis Reyna was born in 1963 in Colorado City, and the family moved to Sweetwater, TX where Cruz worked in a warehouse. They later moved to Brenham, TX where Sammy Reyna was born in 1965. They then moved to the Houston area - Henry Reyna was born in Dayton in 1967 and Beatrice Garcia was born in Houston in 1973. Mr. Reyna became a self-employed concrete contractor until his retirement. Cruz and Domitila were married for 14 years and remained friendly after their divorce.
He met Eva Gonzales through family friends in 1979. They lived in Houston for 2 years and had his youngest daughter, Ernestina Gonzales Metcalf in 1980 in Houston. Cruz and Eva enjoyed dancing together at Boyd’s and fishing.
Mr. Reyna enjoyed his time in Pasadena, TX for the latter years of his life. He had a silly sense of humor and dapper fashion sense. He was a regular face at local establishments, especially at any restaurants with great seafood. He was a devoted son who loved and honored his parents until their passing. He also had a great love for his family. There was not a day that went by when he wasn’t reaching out by phone or in person to speak with or see his family.
He is survived by 3 sons and their spouses, Lewis Reyna, Sammy and Aleida Reyna, Henry Reyna and Richard Raleigh; 2 daughters and their spouses, Beatrice and Jose Garcia, Tina and Clay Metcalf; 12 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by son Isidro Reyna and also by siblings Nestor Reyna, Jose Reyna, Magdalena Amador and Dora Amador.
