

He was born on May 17, 1950, in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico. At a young age, he came to Houston with determination and a strong work ethic, ready to build a better life. It was there that he met the love of his life, Maria Cavazos. Together, they built a beautiful life and raised their family in Pasadena, Texas, creating a home filled with love, laughter, and lasting memories. He worked as a painter, taking great pride in his craft and providing for his family through years of hard work and dedication.
Jose will be remembered for his humor, his ability to light up any room, and his love for enjoying life with friends and family. He had a special way of making people laugh and feel welcome. Above all, he had a deep love for his grandchildren, who meant everything to him and brought him endless joy.
He enjoyed spending time with friends, sharing laughs, and simply having a good time. He cherished every moment with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Maria Cavazos; his sons Paul, David, Luis, and Alex; his daughter Carmen; his daughters-in-law Sandra and Laura; his son-in-law Joseph; and his six grandchildren Elijah, Aly, Mason, Max, Jaxon, and Mackenzie.
