Laura Fay Jones

Laura Fay Jones, born April 11, 1929 in Normangee, Texas, passed away Friday, March 31, 2023 in Pasadena, Texas. She had two children and enjoyed a career as a regional photography manager with Foley’s Department Store.

Laura was predeceased by her daughter, Shelley Faye Black; brother, Frankie (Nickerson) Kirkpatrick; and parents, Lola Faye and John Nickerson.

Laura is survived by her son, William A. Teague (Sheila); her niece, Frankie Marie Fridge (Ernie), seven grandchildren, and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.

After living for more than nine decades, Laura was called to her eternal home on the anniversary of her daughter’s death. Laura leaves a legacy of forgiveness. She imparts a joyful spirit despite loss and suffering, and she expected adults to always seek knowledge, striving to be better than their given circumstances at birth. Laura had the qualities of a survivor and developed an impenetrable faith in God.

Funeral Services with a short memorial service to be held 1:00pm Thursday, April 6, 2023 at the Mt. Tabor Cemetery outside of Madisonville, Texas.
