Louis De La Rosa Salazar Jr.

Louis De La Rosa Salazar Jr., a brave, compassionate, and beloved individual, passed away on July 11, 2025, at the age of 77. Born in Houston, Texas, on January 5, 1948, to Louis and Juana Salazar, he was a resident of La Porte, Texas.

Louis graduated from John H. Regan High School. He served his country with honor in the U.S. Marine Corps from May 18, 1967, to May 24, 1971. Following his military service, Louis embarked on a successful career with Anheuser Busch, where he worked as a brewer. He retired in 2005 after 23 years of dedicated service.

Beyond his professional achievements, Louis had a passion for bowling and enjoyed Budweiser beer. He was a devoted husband to Sherri Salazar, with whom he shared 35 years of marriage.

Louis was preceded in death by his father, Louis D. Salazar Sr., and his mother, Juana Ortiz. He is survived by his wife, Sherrie Salazar; sons, Sean, Jason, Michael, and Jeffrey; daughters, Tracee and Lindsey Salazar; step-daughter, Ashley Blocker; twelve grandchildren; one great-grandson; fourteen in-laws; and fourteen nieces and nephews.

Louis will be remembered for his bravery, compassion, and the love he shared with those around him.
