

He is preceded in death by his parents Venancio and Geraldine Medina, sisters Juanita Garcia, Rosa Trevino, Luisa Vasquez, Mercedes DeLaO, Susie Chavez, son Manuel Medina Jr, and grandson CPL Bradley Gonzales.
He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years Lucy Medina, daughters Mary Jane Barajas and husband Louis, Virginia Randle and husband John Randle (deceased), daughter-in-law Diane Medina, and son Jesse Medina. He has 9 grandchildren who are Miguel Medina, Christina Wilson, Chris Ortiz, Courtney Soto, Louis Barajas II, Renea Kennedy, Bradley Gonzales (deceased), Greg Gonzales and Steven Shifflett; 12 great grandchildren Darian Ester, Jace Wilson, Micah Soto, Rebekah Kennedy, Emmaleigh Gonzales, Hunter, Ashlyn, Zoey, Evan Shifflett, Isabella, Sebastian and Leviticus; and 1 great-great grandchild Everly Roberts. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, sister and brothers-in-law. He grew up in Sugarland as a child where he met and fell in love with their next-door neighbor’s daughter Lucy, who later became his wife. He loved music as a young child and began playing the guitar and base guitar in various bands throughout his adult life. He was a welder by profession and continued until retirement with Brown and Root.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, July 6 2021 at 5 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel, 901 Main St, Pasadena, TX 77506 with the rosary to be said at 6 p.m.
Funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at 10 a.m. at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, 10727 Hartsook St, Houston, TX 77034. Serving as pallbearers will be Jesse Medina, Louis Barajas Sr, Louis Barajas II, Christopher Ortiz, Miguel Medina and Aaron Soto. Interment will follow after mass service to Grandview Funeral & Cemetery, 8501 Spencer Hwy, Deer Park, TX 77505
