The second of eight children, “Concha”, as she was affectionately known was born on December 8th 1950 in Rio Bravo Tamaulipas, México. A brother, Crispin Rojas, and her parents, Santana and Margarita Rojas precede her in death. She married David Banda, Sr and together they loved and raised three children, Myrna (Monique), David and Margarita. Concha was an excellent cook and homemaker. She also was gifted with a green thumb and enjoyed time with her plants. It can be said without a doubt that Concha loved to entertain and enjoyed a good party. She hosted many unforgettable cookouts, dinners and other family functions. Most importantly: She loved with an open mind and heart, for everyone.
Concha is lovingly survived by her husband and lifelong companion David Banda, Sr.; her daughter, Myrna (Moni) Thachar and husband Carlos, her son, David Banda, Jr. and wife Mayra, her daughter, Margarita Banda. Also left to cherish her memory are her grandchildren: Mia, Carlos, Brooklyn, Olympia, David A. Banda; her siblings, Juanita De La Garza and husband Guillermo, Maria Sanchez and husband Edward, Yolanda Rojas-Nieto and husband Andrew, Martin Rojas, Santana Rojas, Sergio Rojas and wife Margarita, a host of nieces, nephews, friends and extended family members. Her zest for life, and care for all, will be sincerely missed by all who knew her.
