

Marilyn Lillian Roberts, 87, passed away December 23rd, 2024. She was born in Buffalo, New York on November 21st, 1937. Marlene met and married Elmer Graham Roberts in 1955. She raised three children as a homemaker returning to school in 1974 as a adult receiving her Associate of Science degree from San Jacinto College in May of 1978 becoming a Registered Nurse in September 1978, earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in December 1982 from University of Texas and a Masters of Science in 1988 from Texas Women’s University.
She worked at St. Joseph’s hospital for many years in OBGYN Dept and worked many years at Bayshore Hospital in OBGYN floor. Taught many years at Houston Community College Nursing Dept. downtown.
She was always a caregiver at heart, always took in anyone down on their luck. Her passion was music (especially piano), cooking, knitting, crocheting, and decorating.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Cheryl Marlene Willie of League City, TX, grandson David Kane of Pequea, Pennsylvania. Ex-Husband Elmer Graham Roberts of Pasadena, TX. Sisters, Patsy Webber of Tomball, and Donna Thrasher of La Porte TX. Brothers, Billy Shaw of Pasadena, TX and Gary Shaw of Pasadena, TX.
She is survived by sons, Darryl Roberts, and Douglas Roberts. Grandchildren, Lee Roberts, Lauren Roberts, Kevin Roberts, Andrew Roberts, Cesliy Roberts, Kelli Llewellyn, John Llewellyn, Tabitha Bequette, Justin Bequette, Mike Kane, Danielle Kane, Robert Kane. Great-Grandchildren Jaxon Roberts, Audrey Roberts, Joshua Roberts, Ozzie Roberts, Mason Bottera, Logan Llewellyn, Emery Llewellyn, Grayson Bequette, Evan Bequette, Hudson Bequette, Colton Kane, Carson Kane, Riley Kane, Tyler Kane and Maddie Gibson. Sisters Edna Weber, Mary Jane Gabehart, Terry Shaw Weller and brother Butch Shaw. And many other beloved nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank and acknowledge the nursing staff at Southeast Memorial and the nursing staff at Harbor House Hospice, outpatient care and in house caregivers for their wonderful caring help. Family would also like to send a very special thank you to Virginia and Amy Rodriguez for many years of personally taking care of mom when she needed them most. Also to Leo Keller, for always looking out and being there for mom no matter rain or shine. Thank you all.
