Rita Castillo

Maria Rita Farias Castillo, 77, of Pasadena, passed away on October 28, 2014 in her home. She was born on May 25, 1937 in a little town named Ronge, near Victoria, Texas, to Guillermo Farias and Juana Botello. Rita had a total of sixteen brothers and sisters. She is preceded in death by her husband Frank and her son Celso Castillo.

She is survived by three sisters, Gloria Rios (Amarillo), San Juana Farias (Lubbock), Santos Perez (Temple), and one brother, Catarino Farias (Lubbock). Rita married Francisco “Frank” Castillo in June of 1951. She had ten children, Nena Rodriguez and husband, Adolfo; Angelina Martinez and husband, Greg; Gilbert Castillo, Frank Castillo Jr. (Terry), Manuela Velasquez, Roberto Castillo (Juanita), Domingo Castillo (Rosa), Rene Castillo, and Alberto Castillo (Natalie).

Rita had twenty-eight grandchildren, thirty one great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. She will be greatly missed. Visitation is from 3-8 P.M. at Pasadena Funeral Home in Pasadena, Texas on Wednesday, October 29, 2014. Burial will be on Thursday, October 30, 2014 at 9 A.M. at Houston National Cemetery in Houston, Texas.
