Roberta Annie Simms

Roberta Annie Meuth Simms was born April 18, 1920, in Pin Oak, Texas, and died October 13, 2017, in Katy, Texas, at the age of 97. She was the only child of George and Johanna Meuth. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Isidore “Sonny” Simms; her son, Morris Simms; and granddaughter, Shyanne Simms. She is survived by her daughter, Alice Dulock and husband, David; son, Jerry Simms and wife, Rita; daughter-in-law, Sylvia Simms; grandchildren Shanna Avina, Chrisy Nguyen, Andrea Simms, Allison Daniel, Matthew Dulock, Sarah Gallegos, Beckey Manke, Khanh Pham; and 12 great grandchildren.

She was a devout Catholic and a founding member of St. Pius V Catholic Church in Pasadena Texas. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be remembered as a fabulous cook who loved to play bingo and to sing and dance.

Visitation will begin at 5:00p.m., with a rosary service at 7:00 p.m., on Thursday, October 19, 2017, at Funeraria Del Angel, 901 Main St., Pasadena, Texas, with reception following. Funeral Mass will be at 11:00a.m., Friday, October 20, 2017, at St. Pius V Catholic Church, 824 Main St., Pasadena, Texas, with Rev. Vincent Tran as Celebrant. Rite of Committal at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery, 6900 Lawndale, Houston, Texas.
