Es mentira cuando dicen que el tiempo cura todo. Uno nunca piensa o se imagina cómo será un mundo sin nuestros seres queridos. Usted fue más que querido. Nos enseñó que es el amor. A mi me enseñó que es el amor de un padre y abuelo. Me entristece que no pudo conocer a mi hijo Chicho pero ahora entiendo el inmenso amor que sentía por todos nosotros. El porque nos regañaba y aconsejaba tan fuerte. Por primera vez en la vida siento temor. Temor que algo le pase a quien amo tanto así. Usted siempre fue valiente y fuerte y nunca se rindió. Pero tuvo que sentir lo siento y lo disimuló muy bien.  Nunca nos olvidaremos de usted. Mi altar va tener su foto. Prometo enseñarle, todo lo bueno que usted me enseñó a mí, a mí hijo. Nunca olvidaré como me decía “ Claro que si, I love you too, Biancucha!” See you later grandpa! I love you.

Thank you Grandpa for being by our side no matter where we were physically either in La Porte or across the world. He was always supportive towards me and happy to hear about my life and what I was up to. I will never forget all the days he took me out to spend time with me, take us to the flea markets, buy us toys, and made himself present in our lives. He was our second father whenever we needed support or a shoulder to cry on. He might have had an attitude sometimes but it was much needed more times than not! Lol! I will always miss my grandpa but so happy to have had him in my life as long as I did. Thank you God for blessing me with such an amazing role model to remind me about love, loyalty, and strength.

Every Christmas was about spending time with family but it was my grandpa who completed the day!

Our grandpa was the center of our family. Especially at this time he made sure we all spent quality time together and respected each other. He was all of our second or even sole father figure! Forever grateful for the strength he instilled in all of us.

So blessed to have had so many birthdays, celebrations, and big life events with grandpa by my side!

 Doy gracias a Dios porq naci y vivi en una fam. Con Padre Madre y Hermanos. 
Mi relacion familiar no es cercana por la distancia, me siento bendecida por cada uno de mis hermanos y sus fams. Bacho en todo momento me dio su apoyo incondicional si yo tenia alguna situacion con problemas y cuando nos encontrabamos su acogida era con cariño y siempre decia q el estaba bien q todo estaba bien les doy las gracias por sus atenciones hacia mi hermano se q Dios premiara todo su esfuerzo en dar lo mejor el tiempo q el necesito de su atencion.  Mantengase unidos a Cristo  y ustedes mismos con amor   y respeto recuerden de su papa los momentos agradables y perdonen lo q les lastimo pero no hay escuela para padres y nosotros los amamos pero tambien nos equivocamos. Querido hermano te fuiste de este mundo sin decir adiós , dejando un vacio inmenso en el corazón de muchas personas. Hoy, desde donde estés, se que el cielo es tu morada eterna, la muerte es así, intempestiva y espontánea,  igual que la vida es  bella, mágica y efímera.
No te imaginas lo mucho que lamento tu partida, pero me quedo con los buenos recuerdos que vivimos, aun que ya no estes, tu recuerdo lo llevare sempre en mi corazon.

I will forever remember you and how loving and caring you were to me and Lily. You reminded me so much of my grandfather Chicho. I was so blessed to ask you for Bianca’s hand and we were so happy to have you at the wedding. I know Bianca was truly filled with joy having you walk her down the aisle and it will forever be a memory she will cherish. Your loving words, advice and talks will be forever remembered. I know you bestowed your blessing on your great grand child and met him before we did. Thank you for everything! We all love you and will keep you alive forever in our hearts and our stories. Until we meet again….te amo!

  I will start by saying thank you for welcoming me into your family. All you asked of me was that I take care of your daughter. I didn't have much at the time to offer her but I did understand that I was going to do everything in my power to provide for her, as I promised you. 
  You were a family man and always present in our lives. This is what I desired for my family, that they would be part of a large united family. You were there for all of us and desired to be in every decision that the family needed to make. This may have been hard for some, but it was your heart that showed love and the desire for us all to succeed.  
  Our kids will never understand the need to include their parents in all decisions. But, this was how we were raised. You and my dad truly showed genuine care and concern for all of us, some just had a hard time understanding your views. We know that it was your love that drove your words.
  Goodbye for now.  I promise to take care of your daughter and your grandchildren.

Don Ruperto, gracias por sus palabras y consejos de la vida, solo lo conocí por un breve tiempo pero ente viajes y camios de Texas nos conocimos. 
 Su familia que lo aprecia y lo quiere lo extraña. Fue y es un gran hombre quien crio a su familia y les dio unos principios muy bonitos. 
Que descanse en paz y a lado sus seres queridos.
Nosotros qui lo recordamos mucho y se le extrañara.

I only knew him briefly for a few years, but we met and got to know each other during our travels across Texas.

No hay palabras para describir lo que siempre seras para mi, aunque tu cuerpo no este aqui se que tu proteccion es mas fuerte que nunca.  Esta foto es la que mas demuestra quien eres aun en mente y mis recuerdos.  Un ejemplo de ser humano con todas las virtudes que solo los heroes poseen, un hombre sin vicios, sin maldad, trabajador, luchista, amoroso y lleno de pacienca.  Nunca permitistes que el cansancio evitara ayudarme aun cuando salias despues de 10 horas de trabajar, te davas la vuelta a ir a ver a mis hijas todos los dias cuando viviamos cerca de ti.  Tus hijos y luego tus ñietos y bisñietos fueron tu prioridad siempre, por nosotros es que vivias trabajando para darnos el mejor ejemplo de todos.  Aunque estubieras muy molesto con nosotros nunca nos regañastes con rencor y siempre nos enseñastes con hechos el amor de padre incondicional.  Dejastes de comprarte cosas para ti y nunca mal gastastes tu dinero en vicios inecesarios para asegurar no darnos un mal ejemplo.  Ese vistuario de mezclilla azul muy tipico tuyo, siempre sera mi favorito, un dia te pregunte siendo joven he ignorante que porque no te comprabas ropa nueva y con una risa me contestaste que para que malgastar el dinero en ti, puesto que nosotros eramos los que importabamos que tu ya andabas a la moda.  Y sabes papi esa si es la moda mas elegante que depicta a un verdadero hombre trabajador, honesto, leal, fiel y sin vanidad.   Gracias papito por enserñarme el verdadero amor sacrificado con mucho esfuerzo sin convenencia alguna.  Ahora entiendo que seguiras enseñandome siempre, pues tu haz dejado un curriculum de hechos vividos por ti, muy dificil de superar, pues no todos nos ponemos al ultimo como siempre lo hicistes tu.  Que obra mestra hicieron mis abuelos contigo!  Gracias por haber venido a mi vida a salvarme, recuerdo preguntarte varias veces, " Papi porque soportas tanto, tu mereces a alguien mejor" y me contestabas que "que sera de ti, y si no estoy alli para protejerte?"  Gracias!

Dad I think about you alot and how difficult it is without you here.
At this point I would settle for a fight with you, and the opportunity for do-overs. I wasn't prepared for you not to be here.
I have never doubted your love for us, even though sometimes your words were harsh. You always showed up dad.
In your hardest moments you were thinking about your grandchildren and their well being. I hope that you knew how much I loved you.
Dad what brings me comfort the most was our last prayer together. God never leaves us nor forsakes us and we trust in Him our saviour the one who never changes or fails.

Crecer con el y compartir travesuras y aventuras fue muy bonito, verlo jugar con sus amigos en los patios de la casa, las regañadas de los abuelos por tirar aqua o mojarnos.
Siempre apoyo a nuestro padre en su negocio, 
 termino su escuela, crecio y se enamoro de ahi se convirtio en padre de familia el cual fue el rollo mas importante en su vida,  vinieron los nietos y nuevamente derramo todo su amor sobre ellos 
Era de los viejos tiempos, muchas veces cuando conversabamos sus palabras las habia yo escuchado en labios de mis padres o abuelos.
Dios me permitio compartir mi vida con el y estoy agradecida y orgullosa de haberlo tenido como uno de mis hermanos te quiero Bacho y te extraño pero se que un dia conversaremos nuevamente y tendre el gusto de volverte abrazar, hasta entonces 🥰

Grandpa Bacho to the world was a strong and hardworking man, but as his grandchild, I was lucky enough to get the glimpses of his soft side. He always stepped up when we needed him, he was our grandpa, babysitter, designated driver, and at many times, a father to us all. When life was being crazy with so many changes and inconsistencies, we could always count on my grandpa to be our constant. He was the only person I could count on to answer my phonecalls at 6AM and talk to me about life. From phone calls, to lunches or even to our causal visit, he always made me feel safe and heard. I am grateful to have experienced that side of him and have him for all the major pitfalls of life. I love and miss you grandpa. Until we meet again ❤️

Grandpa, my most fond memories of you are the moments of growing up in childhood. Being in the yard helping pickup pecan shells or dairy queen trips for a sweet treat. I remember sleep overs with the windows open to let in a breeze for the night. I remember bowls of corn flakes for breakfast in the morning, none of the frosted stuff, but a bowl of sugar if we needed to make it a little sweeter. It's still my go to cereal because of you. 
And as we got older, I remember things getting harder for you in your health but you remaining strong in front of all of us. Never wavering, never desiring to do less than before. Though it may not have always been in your best interest, it showed me your strength and resilience.
I remember picking you up and driving you over to my house for the first time on the day that I closed and the pride that you had and possibly a little fear as well that I would be on my own now.
You taught me many things grandpa and I'm sad that I didn't take the opportunity to share these moments with you before you passed but I'm forever grateful for the memories that I have and the way that I will be able to speak of you to my future family as well.  We will remember you always and love you forever. Rest in Peace Abuelo.

Dad, thank you for this last dance ❣️ I will cherish it for the rest of my life. Thank you for loving my babies the way you did.  I love you Dad .. and when we see each other again, we will keep waisting gas like we always did .. tbc.  🫶 besos hasta el cielo  mi viejito hermoso.
