

Salvador was born on May 24th, 1951, to the late Maria Del Refugio, and Salvador Vasquez, Sr. He was married to the love of his life Maria Soledad Vasquez (along with her homemade tortillas), together they raised three beautiful children. Salvador was named outstanding soldier of the month of April for Aviation support Co B (gunnery) and had an early ambition of being a sharpshooter. Among his proud achievements was earning his electricians license, while leading and teaching others during his career.
In his pastime, Salvador enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys, playing basketball, baseball and fishing. He enjoyed listening to his favorite artists including, Vicente Fernandez, Sunny & the Sunliners, Freddy Fender, Little Joe y La Familia, and Ramon Ayala just to name a few. His greatest joy came from raising and spending time with his precious grandchildren and family.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Rosario and Timotea Vasquez; his parents; his siblings Lorenzo Vasquez and Teresa Sullivan; newborn infants Salvador Vasquez II and Yolanda Vasquez; and his son Salvador Vasquez III. He leaves behind to cherish his loving memory his wife Maria Soledad Vasquez; his daughters, Cecilia Lopez, and Angelica Vasquez. Siblings, Manny Vasquez, Arturo Vasquez, Fransisco Vasquez, David Vasquez, and Socorro Villalva; his nine grandchildren, Abraham Vasquez, Juan Quinonez, Jose Lopez, Sara Quinonez, Cassandra Quinonez, Aracely Lopez, Liliana Vasquez, Noah Vasquez, Priscilla Lopez; his two great-grandchildren, Abraham Vasquez Jr. and Juliet Vasquez; his numerous nieces and nephews; along with a host of loving relatives and friends.
Salvador Vasquez, Jr. will be remembered fondly for his legacy of teaching others to listen and observing as you walk through life, never be afraid to show how much you love and care for others, and staying strong even when it seems hard.
