Serafin Perez De La Rosa

Silas loved fishing, watching sports and was the kindest most loving person you will ever meet! He would never hesitate to lend a helping hand and would always find the "funny" in every situation. The last few months he spent taking care of our dad and he did it so willingly until the passing of our Father on August 6, 2017. His kids were his pride and joy! Please keep his daughter Angie in your prayers, she is still in intensive care. He was such a giving person that at the time of his death he was able to donate his kidneys and two people are able to live on. We have received a tremendous outpouring of love and support which is a testament of how much he was loved!

He is preceded in death by parents Pedro and Angelita De La Rosa, brother Joseph, and sister Christine.

He is survived by son Daniel De La Rosa, daughter Angelita De La Rosa, 4 siblings ; sisters Martha De Los Santos & Mark Mares, Mary Garza & George Garcia, brothers Danny and wife Samantha De La Rosa, Pedro De La Rosa & Teresa Trinidad and countless other family members and friends who all loved him dearly.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 1, 2017 from 5-9pm and the funeral service will commence at 10am on Saturday, September 2, 2017 officiated by Brother Andy Kight . Services will take place in the Grand Chapel at Funeraria Del Angel located at 901 Main Street Pasadena, Texas and interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery on Spencer Hwy in Deer Park, Texas.

A reception will follow at Park Temple Baptist Church located at 3008 San Augustine, Pasadena 77503 immediately after.
