Stanley was an avid lifelong angler and outdoorsman who enjoyed spending most of his spare time at his fishing camp in Sargent or on the golf course with his beloved friends. When not fishing or golfing, Stan was hard at work at Wholesale Electric where he took great pride in his job. He was recognized by his peers to be hard-working, reliable, and valued each of his co-workers friendship and often said he “just wanted to go back to work to be with his friends”.
Stanley always made sure that his Mother was taken care of, his weekly dinner and breakfast outings with her was what made her the happiest. He would also be there for any member of his family that was in need (unless the fish were biting, and you would need to take care of the situation on your own).
Stanley had a special place in his heart for his nieces and nephews from the oldest to the youngest as though they were his own children. His niece (Amy) recalled a beautiful story in the life of Jesus in which he comes to a fishing village and sees a fisherman throwing his net into the water when Jesus approaches the man.
"How long are you going to be a fisherman day in and day out just catching fish, perhaps there is more to your life than just this? The fisherman responded that he never really questioned this but he could see that there must be more to life than just fishing. Jesus said if you come with me I will teach you how to catch the ears of men and the beauty in humanity rather than just catching fish. The fisherman saw depth, love, and sincerity in the eyes of Jesus that made the man unable to doubt him. The aura of stillness and calm that surrounded Jesus left the fisherman no choice but to hang up his net and follow Jesus into a fresh new destiny.”
Stanley is survived by his mother, Annie Marie Coble of Pasadena, brother Mickel Coble and wife Regina of Pasadena, sisters are Renee Davis and her husband Jimmy of Bandera, Staci Davis and her spouse Gary of Rosenberg, nephews are Jim Freeman and his wife Wendy of Corpus Christi, Tim Camarillo and his wife Mindy of San Antonio, and Adam Gardner of Pasadena, nieces are Rachelle Coble of Pasadena, Amy Davis and Ashley Davis of Rosenberg.
In recent past, Stanley had met and spent many days of love and joy with Sharon Hale.
He is preceded in death by his father Stanley Coble Sr. of Pasadena, who was there to welcome Stanley to the Lord.
