Arlo Lee Dixon, 91, of Pataskala, passed away from the Covid-19 virus on Thursday, September 17, 2020 at The Inn at Summit Trail in Reynoldsburg, OH. He was born on August 3, 1929 in Pataskala, OH, the son of the late Arlie Ray and Clarise May (Geiger) Dixon. He grew up and attended school in Pataskala, graduating in 1947. Arlo also graduated from Ohio University earning degrees in engineering and commerce. He also earned a Bachelor of Foreign Trade from A.I.T.F. in 1956. He was a veteran in the Army Quartermaster Corps stationed in Ft. Lee and Redstone Arsenal serving for 21 months. Arlo worked for several companies and retired from Warner-Lambert after 18 years in 1986. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 63 years, Doris Kinick Dixon. He is survived by his daughter, Darla and her husband Chip Strait and grandchildren, Emma and Cooper Strait. Because of the seriousness of this pandemic which took his life, and being mindful of the current state regulations for gatherings, only a small socially distanced private family graveside service will take place, at the Pataskala Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Licking County Humane Society in Arlo’s memory.
